The Barrier of Effective Communication

This poster looks at the barriers of effective communication in English language during childbirth between patients who speak English as their second language and health workers in Birmingham hospitals.

This piece of research was part of a wider project led by Community Researchers. The research looked at ten different topics related to health care that the Community Researchers felt were a priority in their communities.
