Our research team at Aston University is undertaking a project. An evaluation looking at what works to improve medication usage for young adults and children with severe mental illness from the African- Caribbean community.
The aim of this project is to
- Identify why there are differences and an increased chance of being diagnosed with a severe mental illness in the African- Caribbean community
- Look at how treatment options can be tailored to young adults and children from the African- Caribbean community
- Explore how medication usage can be improved in African-Caribbean young adults and children.
What is required?
- Persons of African-Caribbean heritage with experience of taking antipsychotics or having a severe mental illness.
How can you help?
- We would like to hear your views on how medication usage can be improved in young adults and children with severe mental illness from the African-Caribbean community.
- Provide feedback on what are important focus points for this project
What is in it for you?
