Quaye

Quaye trained as a Town Planner with specialist knowledge in local economic development. He is affiliated with a number of universities, including; Coventry University, The University of Manchester and Cranfield University where he studied for his BA Hons DipTP, MSc and PhD respectively. Other Universities include; De Montfort, and Wolverhampton where he’s actively involved in research and teaching. Quaye is a strategic thinker with a passion for ensuring that high quality research makes a difference to organisations, individuals and society at large. He is also a community and business leader with a track record of supporting and developing the capacity of local groups to thrive and undertake economic development and research activities. He is currently a patron and Board member for a number of community based and not-for-profit organisations here in the Midlands. These include Pearls Women’s Group, Ghanaian Social Workers Associations Midlands (GHASWA), and Allies Network, all in Birmingham. Also, he is Chair of the Birmingham based African Business Chamber. Until few years ago, he was Chair of the Birmingham Commonwealth Association Communities Group; President of the Ghana Union Greater Birmingham, and Chair and founding member of the Ghana Union Midlands. In 2015 he received the Coventry University Black History Month Award for Impact on Black Minority Ethnic Communities.
